Plumbing Service Technician Application

Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation Services:

• Install various types of plumbing systems and fixtures in both residential and commercial settings.
• Assess installation sites to determine material requirements and installation techniques.
• Follow blueprints and building codes for installation to ensure compliance and safety.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent or address issues.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing problems such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctioning fixtures.
• Replace or repair damaged parts to ensure functionality and efficiency of the system.

Emergency Services:

• Respond to emergency plumbing calls, diagnosing issues quickly and providing timely solutions.
• Work under pressure to fix critical plumbing issues that could lead to significant damage or safety risks.

Customer Service and Communication:

• Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings, necessary repairs, and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Provide clear and detailed estimates of work to be performed and costs involved.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe work environments for self and clients.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in industry standards and local building codes.
• Ensure all work is performed to high standards of quality and complies with all regulatory requirements.

Tool and Equipment Management:

• Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition, performing checks and maintenance as required.
• Manage inventory of supplies and parts needed for daily tasks and special jobs.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Accurately document all job details, including services provided, time spent, and materials used.
• Update customer records and job statuses in company databases and systems like Housecall Pro.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a plumbing technician with a strong background in both residential and commercial plumbing.
• Appropriate licensure or certification (e.g., Journeyman, Master Plumber).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle physical workload and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with plumbing software and tools, including Housecall Pro.

Job Type:

• Full-time

Pay:

• $80,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
